| Product Description: This invention of The Clean Scoop is a scoop assembly that utilizes a disposable liner for lifting and disposing of animal waste. The scoop assembly includes a scoop structure having a head section and a handle. The head section of the scoop structure has large openings. The disposable liner defines a plurality of slots (the grates) that align over the large openings of the head section of the scoop structure. | ||

| As a result, when The Clean Scoop is used to scoop soiled litter, only the disposable liner comes into contact with the waste and becomes soiled. The soiled liner can then be disposed with the waste and a new liner attached to the scoop structure. The scoop structure will be kept clean without the need of repeated washings. Although the present invention is intended for removing litter from a cat litter box, it can also be used to remove waste from other animals or even sift debris at an archeological dig or at a crime scene! | ||
| Benefits to the Manufacturer: | Recurring
sales as consumer purchases liners for scooper. Inexpensive to manufacture. Exclusive marketing and licensing rights. Uncomplicated manufacturing process. No similar product in the market today. |
| . The Clean Scoop's utility patent filing allows for manufacturing in any shape or size; and permits marketing to a broad spectrum of industries. *The above picture of The Clean Scoop prototype represents my initial design and just one inexpensive manufacturing option. |
| Benefits to the End Consumer: | Other
manufactured cat litter scooper products have to be cleaned by hand or set
in a plastic holder after use. The Clean
Scoop is restored to its initial clean state, giving you the
freedom not to worry about unsightly, soiled pet tools in your
home.
With the conventional scooper, soiled litter sticks to the grates on the scooper, requiring cleaning after each use. With this new product, The Clean Scoop, the soiled litter sticks only to the liner, which is disposable, leaving the scooper ready for the next cleanup. After scooping the litter, the soiled kitty litter sticks to the disposable insert which can be discarded into the trash can, while the scooper frame will remain without smell or soil. Regular scoopers should be cleaned often. The soiled clumping litter that is washed down the sink or toilet drain results in clogged drains and cause future plumbing problems. Toxoplasma
(found in cat litter) can cause birth defects in humans. Pregnant women
should not come in contact with soiled litter because of the danger of toxoplasmosis. |
